Sumac Key of F#m Native American Style Flute, Tree of Life Designs
Native style, six hole flute in the key of F# minor. Hand crafted from a beautifully figured piece of sumac.
This lovely flute is line bored from a solid branch of sumac wood. The fully-tenoned mouth cap is crafted from osage orange, and sports a lovely natural green band of inlaid crushed malachite stone. The classic styled bird block is crafted from osage orange with a yellow pine core, and sits atop an osage orange nest. The flute also features my signature hand burned "morning star" with inlaid malachite below the sound hole. The block is secured with laces of brown and black deer hide leather. Topped with multiple, hand rubbed coats of 100% natural oil and wax finish for a gentle, warm glow.
This is a light and sunny looking flute with a very bright, solid, and resonant voice, and projects very well with great stage presence, and plays almost effortlessly with excellent backpressure. The overall length is 24" with a 7/8" bore and weighs 11 oz. It has an easy and comfortable reach for all players. The flute comes provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for storage and protection. All flutes are shipped FREE Priority Mail with signature required and insurance.
