Tree Of Life Designs has a great festival line-up for 2014! March 14-16, we will be at the Potomac Flute Festival in Rockville, MD, http://potomacflutefestival.org. Potomac is an incredible event with amazing workshops and performers, as well as talented fellow flutemakers. We encourage all flute enthusiasts from beginner to professional to check out this one-of-a-kind indoor event. We will have a listing of all the events we plan on attending this year, so stay tuned, and we hope to meet all of our friends and make some new ones this year at all of them!

Ed "Greybeard" and Dawn

Welcome to the virtual home of Tree Of Life Designs! My name is Ed Dougherty. Tree Of Life Designs is my labor of love, and is a true backyard enterprise. I invite you to explore my website, and my selection of hand-crafted Native American-style flutes, flute care products, wooden tongue drums, hand-carved walking sticks, and a host of other distractions! Each item is individually hand-crafted, unique, and represents my pride and passion for the craft. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your visit, and please check back often for new offerings or miscellaneous ramblings...

Having spent several months building a large inventory for this past festival season, we have managed to bring home some beautiful flutes that are in need of their special homes and just begging to be played! This is, without a doubt, my best work yet. Please scroll through the gallery to the right and choose your favorite!

For a current list and photos of available flutes, drums, flute life waxes, shakers and walking sticks, please visit us at www.etsy.com/shop/TreeOfLifeFlutes

Looking for something different? Custom work is always available and most rewarding to me. You may also direct any questions or comments in an email at: eddough@hotmail.com. I look forward to working with you.

Thank you for stopping by! Ed Dougherty, Flutemaker

Some of the flutes that I make are Native American in style only. My products are not Native made. I do not have, nor do I claim any Native American heritage or tribal affiliations. My flutes are not reproductions, but modern interpretations of instruments reported to have been made by the original peoples of North America.
