Sappele Pommele Birdhead Key of G Native American Style Flute
Six hole bird head Native style flute in the key of G minor. Hand crafted from highly-figured sappele pommele and finished with a hand rubbed, natural oil and wax finish. This unique, "stretched out" bird-billed flute has gorgeous natural reddish-brown coloring with tuning holes, and sports a maple mouthpiece with rings of bloodwood and maple. The long, sleek, stylized bird/block is crafted from maple and is secured with laces of dark brown and tan deer hide leather. The block rests on an inlaid nest of mahogany. The flute features my own hand burned morning star with inlaid abalone center.
The flute plays easy, silky smooth, with a warm and rich traditional sound. It has a strong volume and is quite fun to play as it responds well to mellow play, but has great action for faster, more upbeat tunes.
The overall length is 29" with a 7/8" bore. The flute comes provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for storage and protection.

*All Tree of Life Flutes are electronically tuned for accuracy. Each is individually voiced for strength and quality of the sound as well as playability. They feature a modest back pressure, play well softly but especially love to be pushed. Each flute I make comes with my concern for your satisfaction in mind. Each is line bored from a solid blank, not split, and finished with natural oils My workmanship and your satisfaction are guaranteed.
**Disclaimer: Some of the flutes that I make are Native American in Style only. My products are not Native made, I am not and make no claims to any Native heritage or Tribal affiliation.
