Red Flame Boxelder and Ebony Key of G Native American Style Flute

$ 275.00

Handcrafted, turned and bored from a solid blank of beautiful, rare and hard to find brilliant, curly and naturally-colored Red Flame Boxelder with fully-tenoned mouth and end caps of and inlaid nest. The simple claw-shaped bird block is formed from red flame boxelder and ebony, with an ebony nest, and is secured to the flute with a supple laces of chocolate brown and tan deer hides.

The flute features my signature hand burned "morning star" with an inlaid abalone cabochon center just below the sound hole. It is finished with a combination of all natural and food safe oils and waxes that bring out the beautiful color and curly figuring. The overall length of the flute is 23" with a 7/8" bore. The voice is clear, full and strong. It is a very responsive player that can be played softly but likes to be pushed.
