Mesquite and Maple Key of Low C Native American Style Flute
Hand crafted from a solid blank of rich, reddish-brown curly frogshair mesquite. This hard-to-find mesquite is named due to its very fine tight curl. This six hole Native style flute in the key of C minor is capped with a maple mouthpiece and bottom end cap, with rings of bloodwood. It has been line bored from one solid blank and finished with a combination of hand rubbed natural and food safe oils and waxes. The traditional "bird" block is crafted from maple with a bloodwood core and rests on an inlaid maple nest. The block is secured with laces of strong and supple deer hide.
The flute is adorned with my signature, hand burned "morning star" centered by a colorful abalone cabochon inlaid directly above the playing holes. The overall length of the flute is 27" with a 1-1/4" bore. Better suited for larger hands, the maximum spread between holes is 1-5/8 with the bottom playing hole about 20-1/2" from the mouth end. The voice is strong, full and resonant with a deep and haunting tone.

All Tree of Life Flutes are electronically tuned for accuracy. Each is individually voiced for strength and quality of the sound as well as playability. They feature a modest back pressure, play well softly but especially love to be pushed. Each flute I make comes with my concern for your satisfaction in mind. My workmanship and your satisfaction are guaranteed
