Classic Western Red Cedar Key of F# Native American Style Flute
The "Classic," styled after many of the early contemporary Native American style flutes. Crafted and bored from Western red cedar with mahogany trim. The walls are turned super thin, making them light in weight, and lively, vibrant, and resonant to play. Concert tuned to F Sharp pentatonic minor. These flutes project well, love to be pushed, and respond well to trills, chirps, and pops, cross fingering, and half-holing. The "weathered" finish gives them a vintage appearance. The flutes feature two wrap bindings from braided sinew-look waxed cord. Brilliant red deer hide lace with pewter beads secures the stylized fetish block. The inlaid green abalone shell cabochon centers my hand burned "morning star" design. Overall length is 23" with a 7/8" bore.
