Cedar and Walnut Key of D Native American Style Flute
Uniquely crafted Native style flute in the key of Mid/Low Dm. Made from a strikingly marbled piece of beautiful Eastern red cedar and walnut. The photos don't do this flute justice, as the wood has shades of red, cream, and brown, with several stabilized knots that add to the natural beauty. The bird/block has a highly figured maple burl core with black walnut, and sits on an inlaid walnut nest. Sports a colorful abalone cabochon inlaid just above and below the playing holes that serve as the center of my signature, hand burned "morning star" design. The stylized bird/block is secured with a piece of dark brown deer hide lace.
This lovely flute has a warm, inviting, mellow tone that is bright, strong, and crisp. The overall length is 26". Bore is approximately 1".
All of our flutes are currently provided with a hand sewn fleece draw string bag for protection.

*All Tree of Life Flutes are electronically tuned for accuracy. Each is individually voiced for strength and quality of the sound as well as playability. They feature a modest back pressure, play well softly but especially love to be pushed. Each flute I make comes with my concern for your satisfaction in mind. Each is line bored from a solid blank, not split, and finished with natural oils My workmanship and your satisfaction are guaranteed.
**Disclaimer: Some of the flutes that I make are Native American in Style only. My products are not Native made, I am not and make no claims to any Native heritage or Tribal affiliation.
