I am currently
making several types of Drums. Please
Contact me for price and
availability.
-UDU Drums from Gourds that I call “GOUDU’s”.
My Goudu Drums are made from heavy
walled “birdhouse” gourds. I am using a combination of fire (torch)
and brilliant colored dyes to create unique finish. Each Goudu or
skin drum is coated internally with a heavy marine grade expoxy for
strength and to tone and finished with several coats of Poly
Urethane on the outside.
They are rugged and durable so slap away! Goudu’s
range from $40-60 depending on the size and
finish.

-Gourd Skin
Drums
Made from Heavy walled gourds and finished in the same
manner as my Goudu’s. They are covered with a rawhide goat skin
stretched over the opening and laced with rawhide. Price range from
$50-75.

-Wooden Tongue
Drums
My wooden tongue or slit drums are made from quality
hardwoods. The boxes are typically Oak or Maple but some exotic
woods might be used. The Tops are made from 3/4 to 1” thick Paduak.
Paduak is an African hardwood that is used due to the unique tonal
quality. These drums really “ring”. For the soundboards I am using a
musical grade plywood. Tongue Drums feature a hand rubbed Oil finish
and include a pair of “bouncy Beaters” with Hardwood dowels
handles.
Prices range from $75 -
$150.

-Cajon Drum
“Snare
Cajons” or box drums are hand crafted from Musical grade
plywood. They can include some hardwood details and finished using
Poly Urethane or hand rubbed Oils.
Prices Range from
$125-$200
